Description
This is a nice natured, good confirmationed colt, and very athletic. He has no Doc Bar, Poco, Peppy, or Freckles breeding so he is very valuable for an outcross. He carries 9 crosses to Leo so is over 17% Leo. He has 14 crosses to King (through 3 of Kings greatest sons: King's Pistol NCHA Open World Champion, Royal King NCHA Open Reserve World Champion, and Lady's Black Eagle (the only AAA son of King and maternal sire of Lonsum Tiger (NCHA Open Reserve World Champion.)) He carries 12 crosses Oklahoma Star (thorugh 3 Oklahoma Star greats, Starway (full brother to Osage Star (maternal sire of Palleo Pete (AAA World Champion and Holy Sox (3rd NCHA Top Ten)))), Double Star (sire of NCHA Hall of Fame, Miss Texas), and Lucky Star Mac (sire of NCHA Open Futurity Reserve Champion and NCHA Open Reserve World Champion and a top 30 all time NCHA broodmare sire. He has 4 crosses to Beggar Boy (TB, full brother to Black Gold (winner of the 1924 Kentucky Derby and 8 track records). Beggar Boy was out of a daughter of Bonnie Joe, as was Oklahoma Star, and Leo was double bred Bonnie Joe. Major performance sires that were Beggar Boy bred are: Leo Bingo (AAA, Superior Cutting), Vandal (World Champion Jr Cutting), Tinky Poo (AAA sire and sire of Hobby Horse (sire of Hall of Fame, Expensive Hobby)). Shania Cee (NCHA Futurity Champion) and her sire Peppy Boy 895 are also Beggar Boy bred. Four Tigers also traces to Rondo Leo (sire of Hall of Fame, Mr Gunsmoke), Sport Model (a top 30 NCHA broodmare sire), twice to the legend Bert, also to Ike Rude, Hollywood Gold, and Joe Hancock.
As for his great females, he traces 26 times to Della Moore (dam of Joe Reed P-3 and Joe Moore (sire of 6 world records). His fourth dam, Cub River Doll ran on the track at Los Alamitos from 330 yards to 870 yards and was also 3rd in the high school national finals in cutting, and was triple bred Beggar Boy and triple bred Oklahoma Star. His third dam produced an AQHA world show qualifier in cutting. This colt is 4 times bred Kiowas Diana (a triple bred King mare that produced 9 winners in cutting, 4 world or reserve world champions that won over 600 AQHA points in 7 events and won races. Sport Model Royal was in the NCHA Top Ten while she nursed a foal. She sold in the 1980's for $50,000. Price Flicka Leo produced the unbeatable Prices Wendy Leo on the front cover of The Cutting Horse Chatter in May 1980. Lucky Bottom Ann won 27 saddles and thousands in cutting. The cow was never born that could get by her. She was a full sister to Lucky Bottom 18 (World Champion) and Lucky Bottom 62 (NCHA Silver Award). Patsy Too is by Dock (a full brother to King and out of a daughter of Will Stead that is a sister to the 2nd dam of Senor George (NCHA Open World Champion)).
This colt is an answer to the outcross problem.
